Arena Fonte Nova stadium of the World Cup 2014

Arena Fonte Nova is a new stadium that replaced the old stadium called Estadio Octavio Mangabeira, which was closed after the incident in November 2007, when an upper grandstand collapsed and killed seven people and injured many spectators in a game. Three years later, the local government announced that it would build a new stadium on the same spot. Related to the 2014 World Cup (and the Olympics 20016), the stadium was completed in April 2013 with the name of the Arena Fonte Nova, because it is located in Fonte Nova, in the city of Salvador.
